Bajra Sandhi Monument is located in front of the Bali Governor’s Office in Renon, Denpasar. Located in a beautiful park, built to mark the struggle of Balinese people throughout history. This is a cultural monument to Balinese people and offers a place to visit in the middle of a busy city for international visitors.
This huge monument is very popular for its environment in the midst of vast fields and unique architecture. This monument has a three-level black stone structure with a tall tower surrounded by courtyards. There is a spiral staircase to the top of the monument that offers 360-degree views of the city of Denpasar, including government buildings around it and the tower of Denpasar Cathedral.
On the second floor of the building there is a series of 33 dioramas that display a long and unique visualization of Balinese history, including various wars and other challenges that have faced the island for centuries. Dioramas depict Bali and its people from prehistoric times to the introduction of Hinduism and the Dutch colonial period, to independence, including their current political, economic and social problems.
