Galungan is a reminder of the creation of the universe and its contents and the victory of dharma (good) over adharma (evil). Hindus perform offerings before Sang Hyang Widi and Dewa/Bhatara with all their manifestations as a sign of gratitude for his mercy and for further salvation. The penjor (tall bamboo decoration) installed in front of each housing is a presentation in front of Bhatara Mahadewa who is located on Mount Agung. This celebration takes place every 210 days.
