Jungut Batu is one of the main villages in Nusa Lembongan. Nusa Lembongan is slightly different from the island of Bali, in Lembongan the weather is warmer because the sun shines most of the time with much less rain. The beach has great panoramic views of the sunset. The island besides producing fish it also produces seaweed. Sometimes visitors can see the harvesting process of seaweed. The agriculture is not as popular as on the mainland of Bali as the soil is quite arid. The beach here with white sand and clear blue water has views across to Gunung Agung in Bali. The pleasant seawall walkway is ideal for strolling, especially at sunset.
Most boats from Bali stop at Jungut Batu. There are various type of accommodations that can be reached at walking distance but if you have a plan to stay in Mushroom Bay, Dream Beach or other place in Lembongan then you can arrange transportation there. Because visitors arrive by fast boat or regular boat, crossing shallow water and arrive at the beach, it is advisable to wear shorts and slip-on shoes.
Nusa Lembongan is only 30 minutes by boat from Bali and makes a quiet holiday during traffic and crowds of tourists who come to Bali. The easiest way to Nusa Lembongan is from Sanur beach, about 15-minute drive to the east of Denpasar, where you can go with a slow boat or more expensive fast boat.
